Anyone with a Scottsville address can get a free library card, even if you live in Fluvanna or Buckingham County! The Scottsville Library has a meeting room that any member of the public can sign up to use. The Scottsville Library has 10 public computers, a scanner, a printer, and a fax machine all available for public use. Scottsville Branch Library opened with assistance from the burgeoning regional library system on June 4, 1959, with 1,500 donated books. The Scottsville Library formerly inhabited an old two-room schoolhouse, which was struck by lightning and destroyed by fire in 1980. The current building was built on the site of the old one in 1982. The Scottsville Library offers free events for kids, teens, and adults such as crafts, story times, movies, game nights, and more. The Scottsville Library has sensory garden, a fairy garden and a pollinator garden. While you're here, check out a book to learn more about flowers and pollinators!  — Read more about the branch.
