JMRL's Board of Trustees has completed the library's fiscal year 2025 through 2029 strategic planning. This process included the stages:


JMRL will look to this strategic plan to guide services and to enhance the library's ability to fulfill its mission.

Support and involvement

Jefferson-Madison Regional Library has seen dramatic growth in collections, facilities, and demands for service over its 50 years of existence. Nine branches, including a bookmobile, serve a combined population of over 230,000 in the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Greene, Louisa and Nelson.
