Bring your favorite stuffed animal for a check-up! Join us for this interactive, fun-filled clinic. Each child will receive a Stuffed Animal Certificate of Health to take home. Spare stuffed animals will be available during the program.

Face painting, balloon animals, and a llama-themed storytime will entertain kids and kids-at-heart.

Tie Dye Party!

Come to the Northside Library for our Summer Tie Dye Event! We can teach you how to design your own tie-dye masterpiece with techniques like the spiral, double spiral, and bullseye. Or get creative and make up your own!

Choose up to three colors, or even get the whole RAINBOW!

We will provide dyeable cotton items while supplies last. We encourage you to bring your own 100% cotton item to dye. You will leave with care instructions for your new tie dyed item.

*Note to parents* This event is mess-free. Our staff and volunteers will be interacting with the dye so there is no risk to your clothing.

Led by a former Henry Hoyns/ Poe-Faulkner Fellow in the MFA fiction program at the University of Virginia. Snacks provided.

Registration is required. Learn the art of relief printmaking in this guided workshop led by local artist Virginia Thompson.  Participants will carve and print their own block using easy-to-cut material and linoleum carving tools. You'll leave with your very own edition of prints, a carved block and new skills to continue printmaking at home.
