Every month from September - April, 106.1 The Corner will visit a JMRL branch. Tune in as they talk to local authors and JMRL staff about their work and what the library has to offer.
Usually Wednesdays, from 10 AM – 12 PM.

Bring an item to the Front Desk of any JMRL location during business hours between Nov 3-18th and receive $1 off overdue fines and late renewal fines for each donated item.

Donate new children’s books at your local JMRL branch to share the gift of reading with kids in your community.
Please drop off new, unwrapped books for kids from 0 to 12 years old at any JMRL branch from November 1 to December 1, 2025.

Another record breaking book sale!
Over $185,000 in proceeds raised by the local community to help fund JMRL programs across the service area. JMRL wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all supporters, members, book buyers, and the over 125 volunteers at the Friends of JMRL who make the book sale possible

Library Branches
JMRL serves the City of Charlottesville and the Counties of Albemarle, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson. There are eight library locations, the Bookmobile, and a Digital Library that can be accessed from anywhere.
