Garden Volunteer

Position Description

Overview

Help maintain the native plant garden surrounding the Greene County Library

Reports To
Library branch manager
Responsibilities
  • Weed + sweep walkways
  • Water plants as needed
  • Plant and maintain garden beds seasonally as needed
Qualifications
  • Gardening experience preferred
  • Ability to identify weeds and native plants

Training/Support Available

Volunteers will receive an introduction to the work area and supplies. Volunteers would not be responsible for mowing or managing autumn leaves.

Commitment
Minimum 6 month commitment. Garden areas require the most attention at the beginning of each season.
