The continent of Asia has a long history of decorating fabrics. Printing blocks have been discovered which date back to around 3000 BC! As trade routes began to develop, these beautifully patterned fabrics were traded throughout Asia, Egypt and Greece, Europe and Africa. To make your own treasure, we will carve a Chinese character onto a rubber stamp, and then use it to print on a 15-60 inch white 100% Chinese silk scarf.
